Our founder, Jennifer Peau, began her journey in a kindergarten classroom, where a challenging child and a moment of emotional conflict sparked her first realization that regulation, connection, and compassion could transform behavior and change lives. This pivotal experience led her to a fulfilling career in education, behavior supports, school counseling, and ultimately, psychotherapy.

But like many in helping professions, Peau hit a wall. She became exhausted, disconnected, and misaligned with the very values she wanted to instill in others. This experience of burnout served as her wake-up call, inspiring her to not only change direction but to reimagine what a healthy, sustainable counseling practice could look like.

Balance & Peace is the realization of Peau’s vision, a space that offers more than just therapy, but truly embodies the care it provides. Grounded in her personal journey, shaped by her faith, and driven by a mission to ensure that balance and peace are not just luxuries, but essential aspects of everyday life.
