My name is Shandy!
Welcome to taking the first step in the process of healing! I am here to walk alongside you while we create an inviting atmosphere for you to experience healing. My job as your therapist will be to listen, understand, and guide you through the circumstances or emotions you are facing. Values that I use during therapy include connectedness, compassion, and creativity.
You're not in this alone
Navigating trials through life can cause us to feel alone and discouraged. Sometimes we feel like we have no one to turn to or that everything we are trying to do to better ourselves is not working. Within my practice, my main focus is to first deeply understand your perspective and creatively use tools and coping skills to help you find more effective or efficient ways to function. Within the therapy room, I use judgment-free techniques that will allow you to feel safe and comfortable learning more about yourself and can help you redefine your idea of healing.
I received my Bachelor of Arts from California Baptist University in Psychology. Immediately after earning my bachelor's degree, I dove into my Master's program at California Baptist University and earned my degree in Counseling Psychology in order to become a Marriage and Family Therapist. .
